Cat killed my mouse

Conversation with a client about MY website and how their cat killed their mouse.

I was speaking with a client about IT things and I casually asked them if they had seen my site. They said they had and they really liked it! I hadn't had anyone respond so enthusiastically so I asked what they liked the best. They said they liked the blog. This was very surprising to me so I asked why.

They read it to see if they recognized themselves in any of the events! They also liked knowing that other people have the same types of computer problems and challenges that their business does. I told them I hadn't posted anything about their business but I would think about it.

So after some pondering here is their story...

They called us mid-evening, about 9 PM, and they said they needed some help. They said "My cat killed the mouse..." (I never mentioned this to the client but I almost burst out laughing when they said that.) Their cat had walked on their laptop keyboard and mouse touch pad and somehow the touch pad didn't work any more. It is pretty challenging to use Microsoft Windows XP or really any Windows operating systems without a mouse. So we walked them through a couple of steps and we got their laptop touch pad working again and they were happy.

When you deal with Metro IT, we won't laugh at you because we realize that computers can face unique circumstances that no programmer could ever have anticipated.
